To honor the 30th anniversary of the brand’s first World Championship title, Aprilia has announced the limited-production RSV4 XTrenta, a top-spec track bike dripping with tech derived from the RS-GP MotoGP machine. Only 100 numbered units are planned for production. Pricing will start at almost $50,000. Buyers can book their machine by going to factoryworks.aprilia.com starting September 6, 2022.

The RSV4 engine has an increased compression ratio, a custom titanium and carbon exhaust system made by SC-Project, and a Sprint air filter. The water and oil radiators are superbike spec, and in total, the refinements will result in 230 available horsepower. A special Magneti Marelli unit will control engine function while Jetprime provides the electronics suite.

The Öhlins suspension setup was dialed by Andreani alongside Aprilia’s team of MotoGP engineers. The Brembo braking kit features GP4-MS billet Monoblock calipers and forged Marchesini M7R Genesi wheels wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SBK slicks.

Bodywork gets the MotoGP treatment as well, with carbon fiber fairings developed with the support of PAN Compositi. These panels incorporate fresh wings, along with a new “underwing” design on the swingarm, which Aprilia claims is good for a 25 percent increase in aerodynamic load and a 4 percent reduction in drag.

The RSV4 XTrenta’s livery is modeled after the look of Lorenzo Savadori’s machine used in the Austrian GP. This look also honors the livery of the 1992 bike used in the 125cc MotoGP class.
